Dog Walking

My dog walking service is tailored to your requirements, whether this be one off walks when you have to go out for the day or regular walks for those that have to work all day, even if you work from home.

Your dog will be collected by car for a short drive to be walked in the local area, usually in a small group. 

Most dogs love playing and mixing with other dogs - socialisation is a major aspect of a dog’s on-going development through their adult lives - social skills & responsiveness to commands should be reinforced throughout a dog’s life. 

Should your dog not be suited or enjoy being part of group walks, whether this be due to personality/behavioural reasons or for more senior dogs with lower levels of energy and fitness who require more sedate lead walks, I also offer dedicated one-to-one walks.

Initially your dog will be lead walked either alone or in a very small group (such as just with my own dog), until I have established a relationship with him/her. Then your dog will be carefully introduced to my other doggy customers and will take part in group walks, allowing him/her to enjoy the interaction with other dogs that he/she probably doesn’t experience 24/7 as a pet at home.

Group walks are usually off lead but if you prefer your dog to be lead walked this is absolutely fine.

In NE Derbyshire and SW Sheffield, we are blessed with an abundance of trails to take your tailed companion.  All of my walks take place in local woodlands, parks, reservoirs or open countryside with plenty of space for your canine companion to romp around and burn off excess energy.  All dogs are different – some like to stay close by, some love to run off and check out the exciting smells around trees and in hedgerows and others can’t wait to chase after a toy or a ball.  I ensure all walks, whether group or one-to-one, will include plenty of attention and stimulating games as well as continuous on-going basic obedience training. Walks are generally for 60 minutes but if you prefer shorter walks, then this can be discussed.
